The concept of biomimicry, which involves learning from and mimicking nature's best ideas to solve human problems, has gained significant attention in recent years. This innovative approach has led to remarkable breakthroughs in various fields, from architecture to medicine.
One of the most famous examples is the development of Velcro, inspired by how burr seeds stick to animal fur. Swiss engineer George de Mestral observed this natural phenomenon in 1941 and spent years developing the hook-and-loop fastener system.
